Dems are a big part of why this is happening. WTF did they do for 4 years under Biden. They could have stopped this by starting prosecutions on J7. Biden made a deal with maga

            AND the Minneapolis Police Department.
            AND the Hennepin County Sheriffs.
            AND the Minnesota State Police.
            AND Governor Tim Walz.

ALL of them are actively PROTECTING people who are executing civilians in the streets now. They have been the whole time. There are no enablers; there are only collaborators.

            And collaborators hanged at Nuremberg.

@SeanCasten where are our elected representatives? Why are they not standing on the front lines with the people instead of hiding behind their social media accounts? What *actions* are they taking?

@SeanCasten if you think they are frightened, you are further out of touch than is acceptable. Go watch a video of sharks in a feeding frenzy - look at their dead eyes - now look at the administration, the former GOP and their private armed forces. That's not fear - it's hunger for blood.

@CuriousMagpie @SeanCasten The leaders of the House and Senate Democratic caucuses refused to whip the caucus to oppose funding. They downplayed it in statements to media. Both parties fund street executions. I'm sick of playing games. The federal government is acting way outside of the law, and the politicians are funding it.

@lemgandi @SeanCasten most of the shooting was done when he was already down. They killed him, and then they all unloaded.

The US government has declared war on its citizenry. That's where we are now. They're going to kill people until they're given the excuse to REALLY start killing people.

@zero @SeanCasten I hear you and I don’t disagree exactly, but I guess I’m cynical enough about human nature to believe that one will find about that level of support for violent authoratarians in every society. The trick is building a political system that keeps them out of power, instead of disproportionately *empowering* them, as the US system has done.

@CaymanPilot Well, let's start with the fact that Biden wasn't in office for another two weeks.

Let's go on with the fact that prosecutions began immediately on multiple levels. Just because we weren't aware of what was going on didn't mean nothing was.

And lastly, I'll point out that Trump could have campaigned and even maybe won from prison. Nothing in the law precludes it.

@SeanCasten Please spare us the crocodile tears...

Dems just voted to increase funding to ICE, just as they have for the past 20+ years. Dem mayors and governors are having their police arrest protesters. Meanwhile you took $300,000 from AIPAC and continue to support the genocide in Gaza.

@SeanCasten I don't really have hope that we'll, collectively, hold them accountable.

We need to purge our country of this rot; every last corner they hide in, every last elected Nazi, if you voted in favor of this? Jail, minimum, proportional to their level of support and involvement.

                            Stephen Miller?
                            Kushner?
                            Every Trump kid?
Almost every single republican in office right now?

                            Trial. No excuses.

We won't, though. The Nazis will have some token sacrifices to hide behind and we won't be rounding up every member of ice and throwing them in a hole like we should.

@CaymanPilot I'll add that the GOP has been working on this for quite literally decades.

One figurehead stopped would not have prevented what's happening. Had he dropped dead on J6 it would not have prevented what's happening.

Trump is a prominent symptom of the disease, but only a symptom.

@virbonus @Bahnya @SeanCasten Yes, seven Dems voted yea. That measure, however, did NOT increase funding for DHS as you suggested, but included a $115 million reduction in funding for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, a decrease of 5,500 ICE detention beds and a $1.8 billion cut in Border Patrol funding. It also strengthens oversight of ICE through the Office of the Inspector General and Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Still didn't go far enough, but you're blaming the wrong party.
