@CuriousMagpie @SeanCasten The leaders of the House and Senate Democratic caucuses refused to whip the caucus to oppose funding. They downplayed it in statements to media. Both parties fund street executions. I'm sick of playing games. The federal government is acting way outside of the law, and the politicians are funding it.

Dems just voted to increase funding to ICE, just as they have for the past 20+ years. Dem mayors and governors are having their police arrest protesters. Meanwhile you took $300,000 from AIPAC and continue to support the genocide in Gaza.

That measure, however, did NOT increase funding for DHS as you suggested, but included a $115 million reduction in funding for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, a decrease of 5,500 ICE detention beds and a $1.8 billion cut in Border Patrol funding. It also strengthens oversight of ICE through the Office of the Inspector General and Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Still didn't go far enough, but you're blaming the wrong party.
