That's true. And even if it weren't, even if they still had all the money they wanted, they can't get enough people to do this. Not because there aren't enough white men that racist, but because there aren't enough so stupid as to sign up for this thinking they won't face life long consequences.
The force in Minneapolis is at least a quarter of all the street agents they've got in ICE and CBP, and they aren't even controlling one city. At all.
And the military won't do this.

@randahl we have an executive who seems to be able to shut down and send home entire executive departments with impunity, summarily shut down funded and lawful programs written into law, but the best congress can offer is to threaten FUTURE funding of DHS/ICE? The minority party needs to STOP insisting on playing only by the rules. The correlary to fighting fire with fire is fighting shit with shit. It hurts, but is it not warranted?
