@GossiTheDog HCaptcha is Mastodon's only CAPTCHA option, and that poses accessibility concerns. You may be inadvertently preventing users with some disabilities from signing up on your instance before they reach the pending approval stage.

@GossiTheDog It helps, though. Out of curiosity, what else are you using? I don't have that problem yet but it's a federated instance so I probably will.

@GossiTheDog Every country should move toward banning Twitter given its recent and intentional CSAM problem. Good on the UK for possibly being the first. As for your Mastodon instance, open registrations without approval should be discouraged anyway. That's the only antispam measure we've got.
