@inkican What I struggled with when reading Brave New World was, what's so dystopian about it? 99.9% of the people are happy. They enjoy their work and have plenty of leisure time doing fun stuff with their friends. How is this bad? Sure, it's shallow and purile, but so what? Are we saying that vast human suffering is justified by better art? Huxley had to introduce an ignorant bigot from offstage to try to make this look bad.

During highschool I thought I didn't like reading, the mandatory books were so horrible and boring. Then I had a literature teacher that changed that. Then, the first book I chose by myself was another experience.
But 'Brave New World' I can hardly remember.
I found 'Globalia' recently and I just forgot it on the eighth chapter? So, ethnocentric and so influenced by 'Bare New World' I think.Well. I got so bored that I learnt how to leave it there.
